The ALT Theatre hosts dance, music, theatre, burlesque, cabaret shows, stand-up, spoken work and multimedia performances in a venue that intimately ties audience to performer making it a fertile ground for experimentation. It’s more than a new theatre; it’s a new vehicle for articulating and extending performance art. The ALT exists to provide the space, theatrical resources and artistic guidance to independent artists and new companies to enable them reach their artistic goals. The passionate artist, hungry to create work, yet often underfunded, can find a home here at the ALT Theatre. Without such a resource, the many great artists of tomorrow may never realized their full potential.
